Community events are only as good as the volunteers that support them and give them spirit; we hope you will join us and help make The Festival of Sail San Francisco the best ever!

Volunteering at Festival of Sail 2008 means the opportunity to be involved in a variety of jobs and a variety of responsibilities on the waterside and the landside.

Time Commitment - We ask each volunteer for a minimum commitment of TWO four-hour shifts. Volunteers are encouraged to sign up for both shifts in the same day and receive a free meal coupon to enjoy over your break. No limit to the number of shifts a volunteer can work.

Experience - unless indicated above the volunteer positions do not require specific experience.

Training - All volunteers must attend a mandatory training session. There will be various times available to register between July 15th - 17th. All training will take place at Embarcadero Four - Lobby Level (one flight up from the Street Level) in downtown San Francisco. Training sessions may vary in length depending on the position but will be one hour minimum.

All volunteers will receive a Festival of Sail T-shirt; a complimentary single village boarding pass; an invitation to the Volunteer Post Party (date TBD) and a Festival of Sail commemorative pin. Items will be provided when you sign in for your first shift.
